Catching up...

Okay, so I'm not such a great blogger... It's been quite a while, huh?

First, Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to everyone! :-) We hope you had a fun holiday. As some of you know, we have decided to alternate holidays between our families to preserve our sanity and maximize and fully enjoy our time with each family. This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Tunks family*, and will spent Christmas with the Bryan family*. (And next year we'll spend Easter & Thanksgiving with the Bryans, and Christmas with the Tunkses.)

*Please note that "Bryan family" and "Tunks family" really mean Catherine's family & Adam's family, extending beyond those two names... (Clemonses, Trahans, etc.)

On Thanksgiving we spent the morning helping Jeanne and Tom in preparing for the big meal ... which we missed, as we were given Adam's boss' tickets to the Cowboys game! That's right - we were at Texas Stadium for the last Thanksgiving game to be played there - and it was a "whoopin'"! We SMASHED Seattle... We had a great time, and then spend the evening with family as well. We also enjoyed Gumbo & Games, a new J&T Tunks tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving - no turkey allowed! :-)

Since then, as it is the season, things have been kinda busy... and all the December birthdays are kicking in, full speed ahead! We surprised Tom after a work-related dinner on his birthday (Dec. 2nd) by meeting at the house with champagne and an artist to hang a painting Jeanne had bought him for his birthday. Remembering my grandmother, Marilyn, on her birthday (Dec. 4th), I went back to Arlington for a two-day licensing exam prep course. Then Tom's birthday dinner was on Saturday.

We walked to the SMU campus for Celebration of Lights, an SMU Christmas tradition, on Sunday evening, kicking off the big week of Clemons birthdays: Rachael (Dec. 9th), Rick (Dec. 12th), and Sarah (Dec. 13th), with Patrick (Dec. 20th) following quickly behind! My other grandmother's birthday was also Dec. 16th... (What is it about March? ...)

This week is also a big one in that Christopher is GRADUATING! He will complete his BA in Radio/TV/Film this week, and will walk the stage Saturday morning! We're celebrating a little early on Friday evening with a little barbecue (what else?!). CONGRATULATIONS, CHRISTOPHER!

Then the craziness continues as we rapidly approach Christmas... I hope to update a bit more often (maybe it'll be a resolution for next year), at least while I'm off work! :-)

Hope you're all doing well!
