We have been enjoying our time with family and our time off of work. We both worked on the 23rd (Adam a half day; Catherine's "half day" turned into a full day...), and have been off of work ever since! We both get back in the saddle on Monday... What a nice break!
It was great to spend time with family this week. We were able to squeeze in a breakfast with Michael, Melissa, Caleb and Danny on Christmas Eve before the Bryan family gathering at Bill & Corinne's house that afternoon with Burt, Margaret, John, and Eleanor. We then got to go to our church for our first Christmas Eve there - and Stephen, Diane, and Agnes were there as well! We then called it a night.
On Christmas Day we hit the road with Bill & Corinne for a couple of days with the Clemonses San Antonio. We had a great time with those guys: a wonderful dinner prepared by the family, spending an afternoon at the zoo and having a lovely dinner on the Riverwalk amid beautiful Christmas lights hanging over the river. It was a great time.
Since then, Catherine's had a bit of a stomach bug, but other than that we've enjoyed a very lazy couple of days, lounging in bed or on the couch watching tons and tons of movies.
