Party, party!

This weekend was full of parties! :-) (LOVE those weekends...)

Saturday we went to the wedding of a couple of Catherine's high school friends, the newly Mr. & Mrs. Clayton & Whitney Buehrle:

It was a beautiful ceremony at the Old Red Courthouse in downtown Dallas, which overlooks the grassy knoll where President Kennedy was assassinated. An important piece of Dallas history that has been beautifully renovated, and served as a wonderful site for the wedding and reception.

After the reception, we dropped by our apartment to change on the way to a friend's surprise 30th birthday party at a bowling alley! Very much fun... Somehow about 30 of us, including his roommate and the girl he's dating, kept it a secret for weeks! I LOVE it when surprise parties work like that! :-)

Sunday was a rather slow day, which was nice... Recovery time from the big day on Saturday! Monday we were back to the grind...
I have to brag on Adam for a minute... He's become a PRO at making omelettes! At a tapas party we had last fall, he made "tortilla espaƱola" (a Spanish dish - basically a potato omelette) absolutely beautifully. Monday night he made omelettes for dinner - spinach, ham, and cheese:

They were FANTASTIC! :-)
This weekend we're off to the North Texas Irish Festival!
Hope you're all well!
