We're home-owners!

It's official!

We now own 5529 Valley Mills Drive!

We closed on Friday, and then had a "last hoorah" party at our apartment that night.

(Thanks to those who could make it! It was great to see you!)

Now we'll have a bit of work done to the house, then paint and carpet... we hope to be moved in by Thanksgiving.

(We'll be sure to let you know when we're settled.)

It was a great weekend all in all...

.

Saturday we made our first home-owner run to Home Depot to look at carpet and pick up a few things, then headed to the SMU Football game, which was a (pleasantly) surprising game! We played the US Naval Academy, who usually kills us - but this year we played some great football! We led most of the game, and even forced an overtime! Despite a loss, GO 'STANGS!

Then Sunday we headed down to Austin with Jeanne & Tom for Danny's 2nd birthday!

(PS - I forgot to mention my Dad's birthday on the 1st

and Adam's birthday on the 10th!

Happy birthday (again), guys!)

Danny had a DUCK party at his grandparents' house - complete with Melissa's latest masterpiece, a 3-D duck cake! We had a great time, as usual, at the party.

This is a big week for Adam: he runs his second Half IronMan Triathlon in Phoenix on Sunday! This is a pretty big deal, but - as Adam says - it's really more impressive when you look at the preparation to get to the event... not just the big day. He's been training to complete 70.3 miles of exercise! AMAZING! (I like to brag on him...) So, think of Adam this Sunday!
