Amazing... Adam and I realized last week that Thanksgiving is (now) in
less than two weeks - WOW! Man, time flies...
It's been a good few weeks. Busy, and good.
A major highlight was Jeremy's FOURTH birthday party! We reserved "Baseball Diamond #6" (a diamond at Norbuck Park [City of Dallas]) just for our crowd, and enjoyed ballpark food and baseball fun! We were thrilled that a few friends and family were able to join in on the fun, despite a chilly, cloudy day. It was a great party. (THANK YOU again to those who came to join us!)

The next night our Boy, now a Halloween super-fan, had a blast at Six Flags Over Texas' Freight Fest, despite ominous warnings of a scary evening at the gates. We're very much enjoying our season passes, so much so that we got them again for 2018. (If you wanna head to Six Flags or Hurricane Harbor with us sometime, let us know!)
The Halloween fun continued with Jeremy's first trick-or-treating adventure on Halloween night! My mom - J's CC - came with us as we walked the neighborhood, which had more activity than we anticipated, a pleasant surprise. Our little ghost did a great job, even after an unanticipated automated candy bowl that scared him pretty well. He had a great time, and enjoyed handing out candy to other kids when we got home, too.

Then last weekend was the culmination of quite a project for Adam: he served as Course Director for Seabadge Course SB-32-TX-2017.
Seabadge is an intense leadership course for adult leaders in Sea Scouts - or any Scouting program, particularly the older youth programs. The course was a great success, and included some really incredible aspects. I'm so proud of Adam's work in preparing for the course, and am so glad that it all paid off so well.

The following week was spent mostly recovering after Seabadge... and preparing for a quick trip to Austin for Adam's cousin Cory's wedding! We had a great time with the Trahan family, celebrating the beginning of Cory and Mimi's marriage.

Back to "normal" for a new week today... and then Thanksgiving next week! Amazing!
