What a wet fall we're having...

Hello, all!  Hope you're well - and warm and dry!

It's been a busy few weeks since I last updated! The timing worked out such that we took advantage of Jeremy's school fair day and the day of Adam's first midterm exam lining up on the same day to make it our family Fair Day.  We hadn't been on Opening Day before, and are thinking it might be our new tradition!  It was a beautiful day to be out there, the crowds weren't too terribly crazy, and Jeremy got a free ticket from school - it was a wonderful day in so many ways!  Here are a few highlights -- please see our Shutterfly site for more pictures!

The next week included a first: I got a call from Jeremy's school that he wasn't feeling well and had a fever, so I brought him home for his first sick day.  Luckily, it was a quick bug and he was feeling better by that afternoon, and was back to school the next day... Just in time for Anson's 9-month check-up! Our growing boy is holding strong as a string bean, just like Big Brother.  He’s 29.5” (90%!), and 16 lbs 3 oz (10%). He’s babbling more and more, and we think a true, intentional “Mama” may happen soon. He’s also cruising more, and is able to balance on his own two feet for a few seconds as of this week... so we’re bracing for a walking man soon!  Thank goodness we’ve had a break from teething for the last couple of months, and solid foods are a hit.

The next week brought Adam's birthday!  Unfortunately he spent the day at work and then a review session for the last of this semester's midterm exams.  However, Anson and I met him for lunch, and his coworkers threw a little celebration at the office.  Then on Friday we had his parents and a few close friends over for dinner.  It was a good birthday, I think!

Then on Sunday we had another first: one of Jeremy's classmate's birthday party!  It was a fun afternoon at a local park, with a Scooby Doo theme.  We wrapped up a fun-filled weekend with another birthday dinner for Adam and my sister-in-law, Abby, at my mom's house.  It's been a fun October so far... and the best is yet to come, with Jeremy's birthday and Halloween to wrap up the month!  Stay tuned...
